Who We Are

Artisan Company was founded by Mark Wortham, who has been working in Surrey homes since 2004. The business has grown steadily over the past two decades through repeat customers and recommendations — the kind of growth that only comes from doing consistent, quality work.

Our focus is on bathrooms and kitchens, with the full range of supporting trades in-house: plumbing, electrical, tiling, plastering, carpentry and decoration. This in-house capability is not incidental — it is central to how we run projects. When one team handles everything, the project is co-ordinated properly and the accountability is clear.

We are a Which? Trusted Trader, independently vetted and reviewed by past customers. You can visit our profile to read what previous clients have said before making any decision.

How We Work

Every project begins with a visit — we come to the site, measure up, listen to what you want the room to be, and think about the design together. We then provide a detailed, written quote that covers the full scope of work. No hidden extras, no assumptions.

During the project, Mark is available throughout and the team keep the site tidy and the work progressing to a clear plan. At the end, the room is handed over fully finished — plastered, decorated, and cleaned.

We cover Dorking and Reigate as our primary areas, with regular work across the Mole Valley villages, the Surrey Hills, and into West Sussex. Newdigate, where the business is based, is our home patch.

Our Approach to Design

Design is not a separate service we offer as an add-on — it is part of every project. We believe the design stage is where the installation is planned properly or where problems accumulate. Getting the layout right, selecting materials that will last and look good together, and thinking about how the room is actually used: these conversations happen before work starts.

Our design input is practical rather than decorative. We are not an interior design studio. Our advice comes from two decades of fitting bathrooms and kitchens in Surrey homes, and it is grounded in what works when the installation begins.
